Bikinis & Beaches

February 15th, 2019

Today was a big day for me. Not only does today mark my third day in Panama but it’s also my 7th full day off since November 19th. The celebration was spent as it should be, on the beach; wonderfully wrapped up in a hammock with a book and a bottle of Rosé.

A book? What’s so magical about reading? Well, I’ve been meaning to read this stinkin’ book for the last three months or so and sadly I’ve only tried hard enough to be able to get through 25 pages. Since my whole job is spent analyzing trauma charts (roughly 80 hours a week .. yes that’s like two full time jobs) Have you ever pulled your medical record? Reading long physician notes & painfully long MRI reports over and over can be more than mentally taxing. Soooo needless to say the last thing I want to do at the end of the day is read!

Anyways, what’s the point of this post (I’m asking myself) . . . I guess contrary to popular belief, my life isn’t all beaches and bikinis.

And always celebrate the little wins in life.
